About me

I’m a psychologist, trainer, and lifelong learner with over 20 years of experience supporting people through personal, relational, professional, and social challenges. I hold a Master’s degree in Family Counseling, a PhD in Counseling, and a postdoctoral degree in Social Psychology. My work began in Tehran, where I provided counseling and education in a variety of settings, from individual and couples therapy to workshops for schools, universities, and organizations. I also spent 16 years as a university faculty member, deepening my understanding of human development, emotional resilience, and the social dynamics that shape our lives.

Now based in the Netherlands, I continue this work through my private practice, Hamdel Services. I believe that even in moments of confusion or pain, people carry powerful inner resources that can guide them toward clarity, connection, and meaningful change. My approach is warm, respectful, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through insight, safety, and real human connection.

While I work with clients from diverse backgrounds and life situations, I also draw on my own cross-cultural experience to support those navigating identity and adjustment in new environments. But no matter the context, what inspires me most is witnessing people reclaim their sense of strength and direction, and watching the quiet return of hope in their eyes.
